Lygin um að Framsóknarflokkurinn hafi lofað vímulausu Íslandi árið 2000 er lífseig. Lygin er orðin sannleikur í hugum margra Íslendinga. Sá enn einu sinni þessari lygi haldið fram í athugasemdakerfi DV í dag í tilefni miðstjórnarfundar Framsóknarflokksins. Sem reyndar var að fjalla um stuðning við landbúnað, sjávarútveg og iðnað – en var ekki að pæla mikið í vímuefnum að þessu sinni. Væntanlega hélt angans konan að Framsóknarflokkurinn hafi lofað vímulausu Íslandi árið 2000.
Staðreynd málsins er hins vegar sú að Framsókn lofaði aldrei vímulausu landi árið 2000. Það er tilbúningur andstæðinga Framsóknarflokksins.
Það var hins vegar þverpólitískur og þverfaglegur starfshópur sem átti að berjast gegn vímuefnavánni sem setti þetta markmið í bjánalegri, óraunhæfri auglýsingaherferð. EKKI FRAMSÓKNARFLOKKURINN.
Hins vegar hét Framsóknarflokkurinn að veita 1 milljarði í baráttuna gegn vímuefnum á kosningabaráttunni árið 1995 minnir mig frekar en 1998. Við það var staðið og gott betur því aukning á fjármagni í baráttuna gegn vímuefnavánni á kjörtímabilinu á eftir var 2 milljarðar!!!

Hér er fréttaskýring frá því janúar 2007 þar sem fram kemur að upphæðin var langtum um minni en 2 milljarðar (og var aðeins sögð hafa verið 1,7 milljarðar á sínum tíma). Heildarupphæðin reyndist vera rúmlega 500 milljónir.

Reyndu ekki Framsóknarmenn að taka inn í töluna nýtt embætti Lögreglustjóra á Keflavíkurflugvelli ? Það verður spennandi að sjá hvaða loforð á að bjarga Framsókn í næstu kosningum. Rafræna krónan hans Frosta? Nei það er allt of flókið fyrir hinn almenna kjósanda (burtséð frá því hvort það er raunhæft).

Kannski þeir reyni aftur að púkka undir flugvöll á Lönguskerjum.
Greppitrýnið svífur þá yfir Skerjafirði i viku eða tvær.
Ég man nú ekki betur en kosningaslagorð Framsóknarflokksins hafi einmitt verið „fíkniefnalaust Íslands 2002. Svo það er ekkert skrýtið að fólk leggi þetta saman. Ég man hvernig mér leið yfir þessu. Lýðskrum var mér efst í huga fyrir þær kosningar.
Var þetta ekki þannig að þetta var samstarfsverkefni ríkisstjórnar og reykjavíkurborgar með styrk frá evrópuborgum eða í einhverju samstarfi þar líka. (án efa byggt á einhverri nefndarinnu). Ísland án eiturlyfja 2002. Hét það, minnir mig. Var verkefni frá 1997-2002.
Síðan fyrir kosningarnar 1999, minnir mig, ákvað framsókn að notfæra sér þetta með einum eða öðrum hætti og settu af stað mikið auglýsingafargan um að þeir ætluðu að setja milljarð í dæmið og oft var tilfinningarunginn texti settur með td. ..Ef 200 íslensk ungmenni væru týnd í hríðarbyl á fjöllum fyndist ekki sá Islendingur sem ekki væri fús að leggja allt ísölurnar til að bjarga þeim.“

Hvort þetta var ekki í sama skiptið sem ,,kletturinn í hafinu“ tröllreið öllum auglýsingartímum. (gæti þó hafa verið í kosningunum á undan.)
Hvað sem því líður, þá var framsóknarflokkurinn frumkvöðull í að efja auglýsingarprópaganda á tilffinningalegum grunni eingöngu eða það var bottom lænið. Alþekkt td. í BNA en hérna var það talsverð nýjung. Útá tilfiningaauglýsingar tryggðu þeir sér áframhaldandi setu í ríkisstjórn.

það hve margir keyptu þetta eða féllu fyrir þessu sýnir, afar vel, að margir innbyggjar hérna eru barasta stjúpit. því miður.
Hvað sem því líður, þá braut framsókn á þessu tímabili ákveðið blað í áuglýsingaskrumi með fyrirmynd frá BNA. Eg tel að við íslendingar eigi eftir að sjá mun meira af álíka í framtíðinni.
Það var sýnt fram á með upplýsingum sem að komu fram í þinginu að milljarðurinn reyndist vera um 500 milljónir að mig minnir.
Veit ekki hvar þú færð þessa hlægilegu tölu upp á 2 milljarða…
