Let base conceited wits admire vilde things,

Faire Phoebus leade me to the muses springs.

³ A 3-4-5 triangle anchored to landmarks within Njáluvangur (setting for Brennu-Njálssaga), envisaged as a circular projection of the Zodiac above on an area in the South of Iceland. The triangle’s base line from Bergþórshváll to Miðeyjarhólmr appears to have served as symbol for the course through life by “base conceited wits”. I construe the triangle’s vertical line from Miðeyjarhólmr to Helgafell (Holy Mountain) as a Pagan‘s “resurrection“ path – i.e. transformation into a Christian. In the Saga Age, people were said to “die“ into Helgafell, with “death“ denoting Spirit‘s release from the“mortal coil“ of Time and Space.
