*Og nú hef ég lokið verki sem hvorki bræði Júpíters né eldur né járn né tönn tímans munu fá grandað. Hvenær sem er má sá dagur, er hefur vald yfir líkama mínum, binda endi á ótryggt æviskeið mitt. En í betra hluta mínum mun ég lifa áfram og hefja mig ofar stjörnum, nafn mitt mun aldrei verða gleymskunni að bráð. Hvar sem undirokaðar þjóðir lúta valdi Rómaborgar mun nafn mitt vera á vörum manna, og ef mark er takandi á spám skálda, mun ég um allan aldur lifa. (Kristján Árnason íslenzkaði.)

*And now the measure of my song is done: The work has reached its end; the book is mine, None shall unwrite these words: nor angry Jove, Nor war, nor fire, nor flood, Nor venomous time that eats our lives away. Then let that morning come, as come it will, When this disguise I carry shall be no more, And all the treacherous years of life undone, And yet my name shall rise to heavenly music, The deathless music of the circling stars. As long as Rome is the Eternal City These lines shall echo from the lips of men, As long as poetry speaks truth on earth, That immortality is mine to wear. Now the last age by Cumae’s Sibyl sung has come and gone, and the majestic roll of circling centuries begins anew: justice returns, returns old Saturn’s reign, with a new breed of men send down from heaven.  Only do thou, at the boy’s birth in whom the iron shall cease, the golden race arise, befriend him, chaste Lucina; ‘tis thine own Apollo reigns.  And in thy consulate, this glorious age, O Pollio, shall begin, and the months enter on their mighty march.  Under thy guidance, whatso tracks remain of our old wickedness, once done away, shall free the earth from never-ceasing fear.  He shall receive the life of gods, and see heroes with gods commingling, and himself be seen of them, and with his father’s worth reign o’er a world of peace.

* And now the measure of my song is done:

The work has reached its end; the book is mine,

None shall unwrite these words: nor angry Jove,

Nor war, nor fire, nor flood,

Nor venomous time that eats our lives away.

Then let that morning come, as come it will,

When this disguise I carry shall be no more,

And all the treacherous years of life undone,

And yet my name shall rise to heavenly music,

The deathless music of the circling stars.

As long as Rome is the Eternal City

These lines shall echo from the lips of men,

As long as poetry speaks truth on earth,

That immortality is mine to wear.

Ovid – The Metamorphoses, Mentor Books, 1960, p. 441)

³Abomination of Desolation

From message posted to friends on 26 February 2014:

While in Iceland last August, I met with Pétur Halldórsson at the Cafe Milano in Reykjavík. We discussed matters of mutual interest, including what my Saga Cipher work might possibly “mean“.

I took a napkin and, for emphasis, wrote down the number 438097. This is the Cipher Sum of some three dozen names of persons, institutions, dates and events during the reference period, including two famous murder cases, a sex scandal in high places, and presumptive lies told in connection therewith.

I told Pétur (what I had long surmised) that I believed that this number was associated with a watershed event in human history whose final phase was upon our world.

An earth-shaking culmination of human and spiritual evolution.

*Wherefore, not only to tell of this fittingly, but also that they might fasten it in memory, they gave names out of their own minds to all things. This belief of theirs has changed in many ways, according as the peoples drifted asunder and their tongues became severed one from another. But all things they discerned with the wisdom of the earth, for the understanding of the spirit was not given to them.

*Summary: ION, Snorri Sturluson’s (Platonic) son, and his brother-in-law were at the King’s Court at Christmas. After a feast they were “very drunk” on return to their dark sleeping-loft. A light-bearing servant entered the loft to make their beds. ION got upset, a struggle ensued and ION was struck and wounded in the head with an axe. The wound did not look too serious at first, but ION died from it shortly thereafter “and was buried at Christ’s Church where the chapel wall now stands”. His brother-in-law “next summer brought out [i.e. to Iceland] the things which he had owned.”

I. Christ foretelleth the destruction of the temple.

(Matthew, Ch. XXIV. King James Bible, 1611)

2366233

23745 = Christ foretelleth the destruction of the temple:

20362 = what, and how great calamities shall be before it:

17017 = the signes of his comming to iudgement.

17937 = And because that day and houre is vnknowen,

19492 = we ought to watch like good seruants

21284 = expecting euery moment our masters comming.

24:1

21627 = And Iesus went out, and departed from the temple,

11513 = and his Disciples came to him

19631 = for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

24:2

11050 = And Iesus said vnto them,

21937 = See yee not all these things?  Verily I say vnto you,

22490 = there shall not be left heere one stone vpon another,

16199 = that shall not be throwen downe.

24:3

17198 = And as he sate vpon the mount of Oliues,

19738 = the Disciples came vnto him priuately, saying,

15937 = Tell vs, when shall these things be?

16985 = and what shall be the signe of thy comming,

10941 = and of the end of the world?

24:4

16855 = And Iesus answered, and said vnto them,

12204 = Take heed that no man deceiue you.

24:5

13693 = For many shall come in my name, saying,

12491 = I am Christ: and shall deceiue many.

24:6

22747 = And yee shall heare of warres, and rumors of warres:

11450 = See that yee be not troubled:

28146 = for all these things must come to passe, but the end is not yet.

24:7

16211 = For nation shall rise against nation,

10997 = and kingdome against kingdome,

16054 = and there shall be famines, and pestilences,

14024 = and earthquakes in diuers places.

24:8

17757 = All these are the beginning of sorrowes.

24:9

25907 = Then shall they deliuer you vp to be afflicted, and shall kill you:

19326 = and yee shall bee hated of all nations for my names sake.

24:10

20887 = And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another,

9927 = and shall hate one another.

24:11

22016 = And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceiue many.

24:12

13386 = And because iniquitie shal abound,

13830 = the loue of many shall waxe cold.

24:13

24244 = But he that shall endure vnto the end, the same shall be saued.

24:14

13182 = And this Gospell of the kingdome

13490 = shall be preached in all the world,

25439 = for a witnesse vnto al nations, and then shall the end come.

24:15

24897 = When yee therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,

22005 = spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, stand in the holy place,

15840 = (who so readeth, let him vnderstand.)

24:16

23765 = Then let them which be in Iudea, flee into the mountaines.

24:17

23585 = Let him which is on the house top, not come downe,

15224 = to take any thing out of his house:

14843 = returne backe to take his clothes.

24:19

17841 = And woe unto them that are with child,

17636 = and to them that giue sucke in those dayes.

24:20

22968 = But pray yee that your flight bee not in the winter,

17987 = and shal shew great signes and wonders:

30121 = insomuch that (if it were possible,) they shall deceiue the very elect.

24:25

10844 = Behold, I haue told you before.

24:26

17089 = Wherefore, if they shall say vnto you,

16966 = Behold, he is in the desert, goe not foorth:

19582 = Behold, he is in the secret chambers, beleeue it not.

24:27

19775 = For as the lightening commeth out of the East,

15207 = and shineth euen vnto the West:

18948 = so shall also the comming of the Sonne of man be.

24:28

15516 = For wheresoeuer the carkeise is,

17943 = there will the Eagles bee gathered together.

24:29

20432 = Immediatly after the tribulation of those dayes,

25488 = shall the Sunne be darkned, and the Moone shall not giue her light,

15502 = and the starres shall fall from heauen,

18659 = and the powers of the heauens shall be shaken.

24:30

23015 = And then shall appeare the signe of the Sonne of man in heauen:

19995 = and then shall all the Tribes of the earth mourne,

16614 = and they shall see the Sonne of man comming

23456 = in the clouds of heauen, with power and great glory.

24:31

25713 = And hee shall send his Angels with a great sound of a trumpet,

27450 = and they shall gather together his Elect from the foure windes,

14273 = from one end of heauen to the other.

24:32

13828 = Now learne a parable of the figtree:

25538 = when his branch is yet tender, and putteth foorth leaues,

13746 = yee know that Summer is nigh:

24:33

22165 = So likewise yee, when ye shall see all these things,

18601 = know that it is neere, euen at the doores.

24:34

24831 = Verely I say vnto you, this generation shall not passe,

13855 = till all these things be fulfilled.

24:35

13309 = Heauen and earth shall passe away,

17433 = but my wordes shall not passe away.

24:36

17368 = But of that day and houre knoweth no man,

18918 = no, not the Angels of heauen, but my Father onely.

24:37

11908 = But as the dayes of Noe were,

18948 = so shall also the comming of the Sonne of man be.

24:38

18772 = For as in the dayes that were before the Flood,

23712 = they were eating, and drinking, marrying, and giuing in mariage,

18545 = vntill the day that Noe entred into the Arke.

24:39

24596 = And knew not vntill the Flood came, and tooke them all away:

18948 = so shall also the comming of the Sonne of man be.

24:42

8061 = Watch therfore,

23579 = for ye know not what houre your Lord doth come.

24:43

8184 = But know this,

18214 = that if the good man of the house had knowen

28728 = in what watch the thiefe would come, he would haue watched,

24006 = and would not haue suffered his house to be broken vp.

24:44

9700 = Therefore be yee also ready:

27529 = for in such an houre as you thinke not, the sonne of man commeth.

24:45

19521 = Who then is a faithfull and wise seruant,

11368 = My Lord delayeth his comming,

24:49

20611 = And shall begin to smite his fellow seruants,

16445 = and to eate and drinke with the drunken:

Abomination of Desolation

Message posted to friends on 26 February 2014:

¹Abomination of Desolation

Message posted to friends on 26 February 2014:

I. Platónskar rætur Suttungamjaðar

(Platon, ION)

Ion

I cannot deny what you say, Socrates. Nevertheless I am conscious in my own self, and the world agrees with me in thinking that I do speak better and have more to say about Homer than any other man. But I do not speak equally well about others- tell me the reason of this.

Socrates

I perceive, Ion; and I will proceed to explain to you what I imagine to be the reason of this. The gift which you possess of speaking excellently about Homer is not an art, but, as I was just saying, an inspiration; there is a divinity moving you, like that contained in the stone which Euripides calls a magnet, but which is commonly known as the stone of Heraclea. This stone not only attracts iron rings, but also imparts to them a similar power of attracting other rings; and sometimes you may see a number of pieces of iron and rings suspended from one another so as to form quite a long chain: and all of them derive their power of suspension from the original stone. In like manner the Muse first of all inspires men herself; and from these inspired persons a chain of other persons is suspended, who take the inspiration. For all good poets, epic as well as lyric, compose their beautiful poems not by art, but because they are inspired and possessed.  […]

For in this way, the God would seem to indicate to us and not allow us to doubt that these beautiful poems are not human, or the work of man, but divine and the work of God; and that the poets are only the interpreters of the Gods by whom they are severally possessed. Was not this the lesson which the God intended to teach when by the mouth of the worst of poets he sang the best of songs? Am I not right, Ion?

Ion

Yes, indeed, Socrates, I feel that you are; for your words touch my soul, and I am persuaded that good poets by a divine inspiration interpret the things of the Gods to us.

¹Abomination of Desolation

Message posted to friends on 26 February 2014:

²Now the last age by Cumae’s Sibyl sung has come and gone, and the majestic roll of circling centuries begins anew: justice returns, returns old Saturn’s reign, with a new breed of men sent down from heaven.

I. Come behold the Workes of the Lord

(46th Psalm, King James Bible, 1611)

433745

It would be pleasant to think that Shakespeare was responsible, in part, for the majesty of the following [original 1611 spelling and Saga Cipher Values inserted]:

46:1

27783 = God is our refuge and strength; a very present helpe in trouble.

46:2

25140 = Therfore will not we feare, though the earth be removed:

25186 = and though the mountaines be caried into the midst of the sea,

46:3

21736 = Though the waters thereof roare, and be troubled,

29088 = though the mountaines shake with the swelling thereof.  Selah.

46:4

7214 = There is a river,

21306 = the streames wherof shall make glad the citie of God:

19776 = the holy place of the Tabernacles of the most High.

46:5

18882 = God is in the midst of her: she shal not be moved:

15090 = God shall helpe her, and that right early.

46:6

17597 = The heathen raged, the kingdomes were moved:

15907 = he uttered his voyce, the earth melted.

46:7

15221 = The Lord of hosts is with us,

14069 = the God of Jacob is our refuge.  Selah.

46:8

15149 = Come, behold the Workes of the Lord,

17919 = what desolations hee hath made in the earth.

46:9

21932 = He maketh warres to cease unto the end of the earth:

23023 = hee breaketh the bow, and cutteth the speare in sunder,

14120 = he burneth the chariot in the fire.

46:10

12080 = Be stil, and know that I am God:

13996 = I will bee exalted among the heathen,

12241 = I will be exalted in the earth.

46:11

15221 = The Lord of hosts is with us,

14069 = the God of Jacob is our refuge.  Selah.

433745

Whether he had anything to do with it or not, he is in it.  It is the forty-sixth Psalm.  The forty-sixth word from the beginning is SHAKE, and the forty-sixth word from the end, if we leave out the cadential ‘Selah’,  is SPEAR[E].  And, in 1610, Shakespeare was forty-six years old.  If this is mere chance, fancy must allow us to think that it is happy chance.  The greatest prose-work of all time has the name of the greatest poet set cunningly in it.“ (Anthony Burgess, Shakespeare, Penguin Books, 1972, pp. 233-234)

²(Internet): Gangleri began his questioning thus: „Who is foremost, or oldest, of all the gods?“ Hárr answered: „He is called in our speech Allfather, but in the Elder Ásgard he had twelve names: one is Allfather; the second is Lord, or Lord of Hosts; the third is Nikarr, or Spear-Lord; the fourth is Nikudr, or Striker; the fifth is Knower of Many Things; the sixth, Fulfiller of Wishes; the seventh, Far-Speaking One; the eighth, The Shaker, or He that Putteth the Armies to Flight; the ninth, The Burner; the tenth, The Destroyer; the eleventh, The Protector; the twelfth, Gelding.“

Then asked Gangleri: „Where is this god, or what power hath he, or what hath he wrought that is a glorious deed?“ Hárr made answer: „He lives throughout all ages and governs all his realm, and directs all things, great and small.“ Then said Jafnhárr: „He fashioned heaven and earth and air, and all things which are in them.“ Then. spake Thridi: „The greatest of all is this: that he made man, and gave him the spirit, which shall live and never perish, though the flesh-frame rot to mould, or burn to ashes; and all men shall live, such as are just in action, and be with himself in the place called Gimlé. But evil men go to Hel and thence down to the Misty Hel; and that is down in the ninth world.“ Then said Gangleri: „What did he before heaven and earth were made?“ And Hárr answered: „He was then with the Frost-Giants.“

³ I have created a monument more lasting than bronze and loftier than the royal pyramids, a monument which neither the biting rain nor the raging North Wind can destroy, nor can the countless years and the passing of the seasons.

I will not entirely die and a great part of me will avoid Libitina, the goddess of Death; I will grow greater and greater in times to come, kept fresh by praise.

So long as the high priest climbs the stairs of the Capitolium, accompanied by the silent Vestal Virgin, I, now powerful but from humble origins, will be said to be the first to have brought Aeolian song to Latin meter where the raging Aufidius roars and where parched Daunus ruled over the country folk.

Embrace my pride, deservedly earned, Muse, and willingly crown me with Apollo’s laurel.

Ég ákvað að gerast bloggari á pressan.is til að geta komið skoðunum mínum í þeim efnum á framfæri.
