While in Iceland last August, I met with Pétur Halldórsson at the Cafe Milano in Reykjavík. We discussed matters of mutual interest, including what my Saga Cipher work might possibly “mean“.

I took a napkin and, for emphasis, wrote down the number 438097. This is the Cipher Sum of some three dozen names of persons, institutions, dates and events during the reference period, including two famous murder cases, a sex scandal in high places, and presumptive lies told in connection therewith.

I told Pétur (what I had long surmised) that I believed that this number was associated with a watershed event in human history whose final phase was upon our world.

An earth-shaking culmination of human and spiritual evolution.

¹Francis Bacon’s Last Letter

Death and Resurrection

(Alfred Dodd)

Every schoolboy knows the story told in their history books how Francis Bacon one snowy day on or about All Fools Day, 1 April 1626, drove with the King’s Physician, Sir John Wedderburn, to Highgate and that at the foot of the Hill he stopped, bought a fowl, and stuffed it with snow with his own hands in order to ascertain whether bodies could be preserved by cold. During the procedure, we are told, he caught a chill, and instead of Dr. Wedderburn driving him back to Gray’s Inn (whence he had come) or taking him to some warm house, the worthy doctor took him to an empty summer mansion on Highgate Hill, Arundel House, where there was only a caretaker; and there Francis Bacon was put into a bed which was damp and had only been „warmed by a Panne“ (a very strange thing for a doctor to do) with the result that within a few days he died of pneumonia. Dr. Rawley, his chaplain, says that he died „in the early morning of the 9^th April, a day on which was COMMEMORATED the Resurrection of Our Saviour“.

Here the letter ends abruptly. Whatever else was written has been suppressed by Sir Tobie Matthew, one of the Rosicrosse, on which Spedding remarks, „It is a great pity the editor did not think fit to print the whole.“ For some mysterious reason the letter was not printed until 1660 in Matthew’s Collection, captioned „This was the last letter that he ever wrote.” (Francis Bacon’s Personal Life-Story, Rider & Co, London, 1986, pp. 539-540.)

What is up and down?

Happy Easter to all of you.

It is hardly appropriate to talk much politics at Easter but this time it can probably not be avoided.

Politics is a strange phenomenon. Not least here in Iceland where people often do not flinch from turning things completely upside down.

I intervened decisively in the course of events in Icelandic politics and proposed unprecedented measures to defend the interests of the general public, measures which at the same time were conducive to impairing the interests of my wife.

What I proposed was called crazy, unworkable demagogy. I was said to be creating unrealistic expectations and advocating something which was contrary to law, advocating expropriation of assets and measures which would entail many years of litigation. I met resistance at every step both by the hedge funds and their spokesmen in this country. The spokesmen called me a populist, not least after I proposed that, if the creditors would not yield, then they would be hit with a tax.

Still, victory was achieved despite great opposition. The outcome has attracted international attention and surprise because how unusual and good for Iceland it was.

An outcome which Lee Buchheit called unique in the world’s financial history. An outcome where the hedge funds, that came to Iceland to profit from the collapse of the banks, were made to pay to have their assets released. They had to pay for getting money which the chairman of one of the opposition parties pointed out on a regular basis was their legally protected asset.

This became possible because people such as my wife, who had already lost much by having the banks safeguard their money before the collapse, were made to absorb a further loss.

Now that the supposedly impossible has happened in a manner “unique in the world’s financial history”, those who said I had promised the unattainable, step up and say that I was disqualified to work towards this result because in doing so I was sacrificing the interests of my own family. And what is more, I had not even revealed that I was sacrificing its interests. None of these people have considered themselves disqualified or seen any reason to reveal their own interests and those of their families in years past when decisions were taken which defended rather than sacrificed their own interests.

And then there are those who view this debate as an occasion to attack my wife, slander her and her family and spread calumny about these good folks, presumably for the purpose of attacking me. They should certainly should not be dragged into the filthy debate which far too often is a part of politics these days.

Thus the unfortunate situation arose that it was unavoidable for me to comment on the private matters of my wife, but it has been my policy until now not to let people drag my wife or family into political clashes. But when I deviated from that policy, people began, not unexpectedly, to utilise everything that was said as an occasion to continue gabbling about the matter.

There is no point in arguing with those who do so. However, I fully understand that discussions such as those that have taken place recently will raise various questions for the general public. That is normal when politics and finances are being discussed.

My wife and I are grateful for the strong support we have received from an incredibly large number of people who understand what this matter is about. However, it is natural to give further information to those who consider that some questions remain to be answered or want to have a better understanding of the matter. Therefore we sat down together and wrote a summary with answers to all those issues which have come up in the recent discussion as well as other issues which we know that people have been thinking about. For those interested I am attaching the summary below.

Happy Easter to all of you.

It is hardly appropriate to talk much politics at Easter but this time it can probably not be avoided.

Politics is a strange phenomenon. Not least here in Iceland where people often do not flinch from turning things completely upside down.

I intervened decisively in the course of events in Icelandic politics and proposed unprecedented measures to defend the interests of the general public, measures which at the same time were conducive to impairing the interests of my wife.

What I proposed was called crazy, unworkable demagogy. I was said to be creating unrealistic expectations and advocating something which was contrary to law, advocating expropriation of assets and measures which would entail many years of litigation. I met resistance at every step both by the hedge funds and their spokesmen in this country. The spokesmen called me a populist, not least after I proposed that, if the creditors would not yield, then they would be hit with a tax.

Still, victory was achieved despite great opposition. The outcome has attracted international attention and surprise because how unusual and good for Iceland it was.

An outcome which Lee Buchheit called unique in the world’s financial history. An outcome where the hedge funds, that came to Iceland to profit from the collapse of the banks, were made to pay to have their assets released. They had to pay for getting money which the chairman of one of the opposition parties pointed out on a regular basis was their legally protected asset.

This became possible because people such as my wife, who had already lost much by having the banks safeguard their money before the collapse, were made to absorb a further loss.

Now that the supposedly impossible has happened in a manner “unique in the world’s financial history”, those who said I had promised the unattainable, step up and say that I was disqualified to work towards this result because in doing so I was sacrificing the interests of my own family. And what is more, I had not even revealed that I was sacrificing its interests. None of these people have considered themselves disqualified or seen any reason to reveal their own interests and those of their families in years past when decisions were taken which defended rather than sacrificed their own interests.

And then there are those who view this debate as an occasion to attack my wife, slander her and her family and spread calumny about these good folks, presumably for the purpose of attacking me. They should certainly should not be dragged into the filthy debate which far too often is a part of politics these days.

Thus the unfortunate situation arose that it was unavoidable for me to comment on the private matters of my wife, but it has been my policy until now not to let people drag my wife or family into political clashes. But when I deviated from that policy, people began, not unexpectedly, to utilise everything that was said as an occasion to continue gabbling about the matter.

There is no point in arguing with those who do so. However, I fully understand that discussions such as those that have taken place recently will raise various questions for the general public. That is normal when politics and finances are being discussed.

My wife and I are grateful for the strong support we have received from an incredibly large number of people who understand what this matter is about. However, it is natural to give further information to those who consider that some questions remain to be answered or want to have a better understanding of the matter. Therefore we sat down together and wrote a summary with answers to all those issues which have come up in the recent discussion as well as other issues which we know that people have been thinking about. For those interested I am attaching the summary below.

The first allusion on record to Stratfordian Will Shakspere as actor and playwright, scholars agree, was in a book published in 1592 containing what purport to be actor and playwright Robert Greene’s deathbed musings on the trials and tribulations of his wretched and sinful life.

Schoenbaum describes the circumstances as follows:

…Robert Greene, experinced not only in letters but also in the hard school of Elizabethan low-life.

He belonged to the brotherhood of University Wits: that small company of Bohemian intellectuals born in the provinces shortly after mid-century, and educated at Cambridge or Oxford. Footloose, they turned their backs on their origins, and gravitated to the capital, where they supplied the stationers with pamphlets and the players with plays. In London they led lives that were nasty, brutish, brilliant, and short. With Greene we cannot always separate fact from fiction in the fantasias he composed on autobiographical themes, or the legend made of him by his contemporaries. The pattern of his career – necessarily pieced together from the testimony of biased witnesses – assumes the lineaments of archetype.

He came of sound middle-class stock, the son of a Norwich saddler who educated him locally, no doubt at the Free Grammar School which, under the supervision of the mayor and aldermen, enrolled ‘fourscore and four scholars’. In 1580 Greene graduated B.A. from St. John’s College, Cambridge. Foreign travel provided postgraduate education; in Italy and Spain he reports seeing and practising ‘such villainy as is abominable to declare’. Back in England, a restless libertine drowned in pride, he wandered one day into St. Andrew’s Church in Norwich, where the preacher, John More – known as the Apostle of Norwich – laid before his imagination the terrors of God’s Judgement. Greene repented. ‘Lord have mercy upon me’, he said, to himself, ‘and send me grace to amend and become a new man.’ Thus reformed, he took his M.A. in 1583 from Clare Hall, Cambridge, and two years later married the virtuous and patient Dorothea. But the new man slipped back into the old: he got Dorothea with child, and, having squandered her marriage money, shipped her off to Lincolnshire to shift for herself as best she could, then took up again with his dissolute London companions. In his own phrase, he fell again with the dog to his old vomit.

[…] For a month Greene lingered in squalor, deserted by friends but attended by troops of lice. Mrs. Isam gave him the penny-pot of malmsey he pitifully begged, while Gabriel Harvey exulted in the downfall of the wicked:

A rakehell, a makeshift, a scribbling fool:

                                A famous bayard in city, and school.

                                Now sick as a dog, and ever brainsick:

                                Where such a raving and desperate Dick?

Between prayers Greene scribbled his last confessions, and near the end wrote piteously to his cast-off Dorothea, asking her to forgive him and pay the ten pounds he owed his host. When he died, Mrs. Isam crowned him with a garland of bays, in accordance with his last wish. Before the year was out the bookstalls of St. Paul’s Churchyard displayed The Repentance of Robert Greene, Master of Arts and Greene’s Groatsworth of Wit, bought with a million of Repentance. Describing the folly of youth, the falsehood of makeshift flatterers, the misery of the negligent, and mischiefs of deceiving Courtesans. Written before his death and published at his dying request.

Thus lived and died Robert Greene, the saddler’s son who would not willingly let the world forget that he was a Master of Arts. His progress furnishes a direct antithesis to that of the glover’s son from Stratford who never went beyond grammar school. But Greene’s career holds more than an exemplary interest. In the Groatsworth of Wit he makes the first unmistakable reference we have to Shakespeare in London.

[…] the Groatsworth of Wit contains – no question – a desperate shaft directed at Shakespeare. The author hurls it later, after having abandoned any pretence at fiction; he speaks as Greene, offering while life still beats, the bitter wisdom of experience. He sets down a set of religious wholesome rules for good conduct, and then, in a letter, addresses some special advice to three of his ‘fellow scholars about this city’: […] There follows the celebrated denunciation of the ‘upstart crow’:

Base minded men all three of you, if by my miserie you be not warnd: for unto none of you (like mee) sought those burres to cleaue: those Puppets (I meane) that spake from our mouths, those Anticks garnisht in our colours. What is up and down?

Happy Easter to all of you.

It is hardly appropriate to talk much politics at Easter but this time it can probably not be avoided.

Politics is a strange phenomenon. Not least here in Iceland where people often do not flinch from turning things completely upside down.

I intervened decisively in the course of events in Icelandic politics and proposed unprecedented measures to defend the interests of the general public, measures which at the same time were conducive to impairing the interests of my wife.

What I proposed was called crazy, unworkable demagogy. I was said to be creating unrealistic expectations and advocating something which was contrary to law, advocating expropriation of assets and measures which would entail many years of litigation. I met resistance at every step both by the hedge funds and their spokesmen in this country. The spokesmen called me a populist, not least after I proposed that, if the creditors would not yield, then they would be hit with a tax.

Still, victory was achieved despite great opposition. The outcome has attracted international attention and surprise because how unusual and good for Iceland it was.

An outcome which Lee Buchheit called unique in the world’s financial history. An outcome where the hedge funds, that came to Iceland to profit from the collapse of the banks, were made to pay to have their assets released. They had to pay for getting money which the chairman of one of the opposition parties pointed out on a regular basis was their legally protected asset.

This became possible because people such as my wife, who had already lost much by having the banks safeguard their money before the collapse, were made to absorb a further loss.

Now that the supposedly impossible has happened in a manner “unique in the world’s financial history”, those who said I had promised the unattainable, step up and say that I was disqualified to work towards this result because in doing so I was sacrificing the interests of my own family. And what is more, I had not even revealed that I was sacrificing its interests. None of these people have considered themselves disqualified or seen any reason to reveal their own interests and those of their families in years past when decisions were taken which defended rather than sacrificed their own interests.

And then there are those who view this debate as an occasion to attack my wife, slander her and her family and spread calumny about these good folks, presumably for the purpose of attacking me. They should certainly should not be dragged into the filthy debate which far too often is a part of politics these days.

Thus the unfortunate situation arose that it was unavoidable for me to comment on the private matters of my wife, but it has been my policy until now not to let people drag my wife or family into political clashes. But when I deviated from that policy, people began, not unexpectedly, to utilise everything that was said as an occasion to continue gabbling about the matter.

There is no point in arguing with those who do so. However, I fully understand that discussions such as those that have taken place recently will raise various questions for the general public. That is normal when politics and finances are being discussed.

My wife and I are grateful for the strong support we have received from an incredibly large number of people who understand what this matter is about. However, it is natural to give further information to those who consider that some questions remain to be answered or want to have a better understanding of the matter. Therefore we sat down together and wrote a summary with answers to all those issues which have come up in the recent discussion as well as other issues which we know that people have been thinking about. For those interested I am attaching the summary below.

Background – Benjamin

     1. The Tribe of Benjamin was by far the smallest of all the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

2. Benjamin, the ancestor and federal head of the Benjamites, was the youngest of all Jacob’s twelve sons, from whom the respective tribes of Israel originated.

At one time Benjamin “ ravined as a wolf „, but in the end, proved to be the tribe truest to the Faith, and all Twelve Apostles of Christ were ultimately chosen from that one Tribe.2TheBenjamites (or Galilaeans, as they were later called) followed the Saviour by the thousand. (It was the Jews of Judaea who rejected Him and had Him crucified.)
4. The Benjamites were liberty- loving and tolerant in religion. It was the most famous Benjamite of all, the great Apostle Paul, who said: „Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.“ (2 Cor. 3,17, Gal. 5,1.)
5. The Benjamites (Galilaeans) were the first to translate and preach the Scriptures in other languages (Acts 2, 8-11).
6. Benjamin was the light-bearer of eke tribes of Israel.

From the foregoing it will be seen that we could appro­priately speak of Iceland as the Benjamin of Christendom. As little Benjamin ultimately became the great light-bearer, can it be that little Iceland is destined to become a great light to the nations. The Biblical prophecies indicate that it will be so.

Both Christ and Daniel inform us that the present age is to culminate in a climax of unprecedented trouble upon the nations (Matt. 24, 21, Daniel 12,1). That terrible trouble which will smash to pieces all tyrannical and unjust institutions that oppress humanity (Zephaniah 3,8, James 5,1-4), is to be but the painful transition which will usher in a new and better age, the Golden Age of prophecy. This is repeatedly declared in the Bible. For example, that world-wide trouble and what follows is described in Zephaniah’s prophecy just referred to: verse 8 depicts the trouble, but verse 9 following declares, “ For then (after the trouble) will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one consent.“ Again, Isaiah, chapter 34, gives a vivid picture of the world tribulation, whilst the whole of the next chapter, 35, tells of the glorious time to follow, and is one of the loveliest chapters in the whole Bible.

Isaiah, chapter 24, also portrays the great final cataclysm upon the nations, but shows that there will be one place that will shine forth as a beacon light in that dark night of world­wide trouble, and that the people there will be found worshipping and singing songs of praise to God, for in the middle of that chapter of woe there is interjected these words: „They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the Lord, they shall cry aloud from the sea. Wherefore glorify ye the Lord in the fires, even the name of the Lord God of Israel in the isles of the sea. From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous.“ (Isaiah, 24,14-16. English Bible.)

What is up and down?

Happy Easter to all of you.

It is hardly appropriate to talk much politics at Easter but this time it can probably not be avoided.

Politics is a strange phenomenon. Not least here in Iceland where people often do not flinch from turning things completely upside down.

I intervened decisively in the course of events in Icelandic politics and proposed unprecedented measures to defend the interests of the general public, measures which at the same time were conducive to impairing the interests of my wife.

What I proposed was called crazy, unworkable demagogy. I was said to be creating unrealistic expectations and advocating something which was contrary to law, advocating expropriation of assets and measures which would entail many years of litigation. I met resistance at every step both by the hedge funds and their spokesmen in this country. The spokesmen called me a populist, not least after I proposed that, if the creditors would not yield, then they would be hit with a tax.

Still, victory was achieved despite great opposition. The outcome has attracted international attention and surprise because how unusual and good for Iceland it was.

An outcome which Lee Buchheit called unique in the world’s financial history. An outcome where the hedge funds, that came to Iceland to profit from the collapse of the banks, were made to pay to have their assets released. They had to pay for getting money which the chairman of one of the opposition parties pointed out on a regular basis was their legally protected asset.

This became possible because people such as my wife, who had already lost much by having the banks safeguard their money before the collapse, were made to absorb a further loss.

Now that the supposedly impossible has happened in a manner “unique in the world’s financial history”, those who said I had promised the unattainable, step up and say that I was disqualified to work towards this result because in doing so I was sacrificing the interests of my own family. And what is more, I had not even revealed that I was sacrificing its interests. None of these people have considered themselves disqualified or seen any reason to reveal their own interests and those of their families in years past when decisions were taken which defended rather than sacrificed their own interests.

And then there are those who view this debate as an occasion to attack my wife, slander her and her family and spread calumny about these good folks, presumably for the purpose of attacking me. They should certainly should not be dragged into the filthy debate which far too often is a part of politics these days.

Thus the unfortunate situation arose that it was unavoidable for me to comment on the private matters of my wife, but it has been my policy until now not to let people drag my wife or family into political clashes. But when I deviated from that policy, people began, not unexpectedly, to utilise everything that was said as an occasion to continue gabbling about the matter.

There is no point in arguing with those who do so. However, I fully understand that discussions such as those that have taken place recently will raise various questions for the general public. That is normal when politics and finances are being discussed.

My wife and I are grateful for the strong support we have received from an incredibly large number of people who understand what this matter is about. However, it is natural to give further information to those who consider that some questions remain to be answered or want to have a better understanding of the matter. Therefore we sat down together and wrote a summary with answers to all those issues which have come up in the recent discussion as well as other issues which we know that people have been thinking about. For those interested I am attaching the summary below.
